【フランス語】mûrir・Pas mal. とは？

現在、コロナウイルスの影響で、フランス・パリの地下鉄では以下の文章のステッカーが貼られている。（RATPの路線にて）

"Pour notre santé à tous, laissons ce siège libre".

="For the health of all of us, let's leave this seat free"

santé : health

laisser : to leave

siège : seat

libre : free

フランスでは、70をsoixante-dix（60+10）と数えます。80はquatre-vingts、90はquatre-vingt-dixです。一方、ベルギーでは70をSeptante、80はoctante/huitante、90はnonanteとなります。ベルギーのほうが数えやすいですね。

まずは、国会議事堂。United States Capitol
本当にでかい。驚きます。


次に、ワシントン記念碑。Washington Monument
ジョージ・ワシントンの功績をたたえて建造されたとか。


そこから歩いていけるのが、Lincoln Memorial。



歩いてリンカーン・メモリアルまで行く道が、とにかく蚊が多かった。

【フランス語】Soupe à la grimace・MEZZANINEとは？

grimace は「しかめっ面」の意味があります。フランス語の面白い表現です。
