下着の広告を見て、"Self-improvement is masturbation, now self-destruction .."実際にはこう言っています。以下の動画。

この意味の解釈はひとそれぞれですが、一例をあげましょう。
直訳「self-improvement (自己改善）は自己満足である。」つまり、自己改善は、楽しさや、達成感を得られるが、実際には何も達成していない。自己改善は自分だけの利益になるだけである。つまりは自己満足。
self-destruction (自殺、自滅）という意味。
ここでのself-destructionは、自分の知っているすべてのことを取り除くこと、捨てること（自分の持っている友情、人生すべて）や、自分自身をhateすることという解釈も様々あります。
かなりわかりにくいので、まとめると、「（かっこいい下着を着たりといった）自己改善は、自分を何も変えられていない。今は自分自身を嫌っている。」
このような個人的解釈です。ひとそれぞれself-destructionの解釈は違ったりします。
ちなみに自己満足は英語で"self satisfaction" か"smug" といいます。
